TROOPER 110SC |
Active Ingredient : Abamectin 10g/l + Cyromazine 100g/l |
TROOPER 110SC |
Trooper is a systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action that acts by inhibiting growth in insects. |

Formulation |
Soluble Concentrate |
Mode of Action |
Has contact and stomach action with strong translaminar activity and limited systemic activity |
Abamectin binds to Glutamate-gated Chloride channels (GABA) found in nerve cells leading to cell hyperpolarization i.e.: Cells |
accumulate more negative chloride ions(Cl_). |
This blocks movement of nerve signals and paralyses the insect; making it unable to eat and eventually will die. |
Feeding in the insect stops immediately while death occurs in 4days |
Cyromazine acts by disrupting molting i.e.: the progression from one life stage to the next. |
Affects the nervous system of immature Molts making them unable to mature to the next stage. |
This results in immature Molts and eventually death. |

Application Guide |
1. Apply in the early stages of pest development as young larval stages are more susceptible |
2. Incorporate in IPM(Intergrated Pest Management) or Resistance management. |
3. Avoid spraying product during flowering when beneficial insects are actively foraging. Toxic to bees |
4. Apply in cool weather and avoid drift-offs to minimise effect on beneficial insects. |
5. Ensure thorough product coverage due to contact action i.e.: Cover all leaf surfaces for longer efficacy |
6. Alternate with other products to manage resistance development |
7. Apply once per season |
Features & Benefits |
1. Has 2 molecules with different modes of action hence minimize chances of resistance development. |
2. Systemic nature makes it ideal for controlling biting and chewing insects on the whole plant. |
3. Cyromazine ingestion reduces egg production in female adults and egg hatching. |
4. Can be used as foliar spray or drench both molecules can be absorbed by the root and leaves |
5. Stops feeding immediately hence stops further crop damage |
6. Rain fast due to its quick penetration into the leaves. |
